This small collection provides 56 images of Reuben Holbein, family, and friends in the 19th century. Holbein served as mayor of Corpus Christi and issued bonds for dredging the ship channel through Corpus Christi Bay. He also served as manager of King Ranch and was at King's deathbed in San Antonio.

Russell Phillip Mozeney was the chief weatherman at the Corpus Christi National Weather Service office in the mid 1900s. Manuscrips and publications concerning hurricanes, forecasts, tornadoes and storms in the South Texas region are included in this collection. Johnnie H. Mitchell served as Nueces County sheriff from 1957 to 1977. Before serving as sheriff, he served as an FBI agent. The papers include nine scrapbooks concentrating on politics, elections, law enforcement, and crime in Corpus Christi and South Texas during the mid-1900s. Other materials include photographs and campaign memorabilia.
