Sub-Series B: Negatives, 1926 - 1998
This sub-series consists of black and white and color negatives of various sizes. These images cover a smaller number of topics from Dr. Hector P. Garcia’s life. Negatives filed under his name cover a smaller subset of his awards, military exploits, wedding, honeymoon, and other personal activities. Additional subjects covered by the images include the American GI Forum (AGIF), Garcia family members, John F. Kennedy’s gravesite, police brutality cases, the United States Bicentennial, various schools, the United Nations, and World War II. Persons of note in this sub-series include Lloyd Bentsen, Jimmy Carter, James De Anda, Hubert H. Humphrey, Lyndon B. Johnson, John and Robert Kennedy, Felix Longoria, Joseph Montoya, Domingo Pena, Ronald Reagan, and Vincente Ximenes. A significant number of negatives have corresponding prints located in Sub-Series A: Prints; where possible, these negatives are labeled and filed the same way as their counterparts.
