Ben F. McDonald Papers
Ben McDonald was 35 years old when he served as Mayor of Corpus Christi. His papers include one document case of files and one oversized scrapbook from his tenure as Mayor from 1961 to 1963. At that time, the city was facing pivotal issues such as water planning, environmental factors, and civil rights for Mexican American and African American citizens.

Bert Bethel Papers
Bert Bethel's stepfather was the boxer, Billy Deeg whose career in boxing dated from 1935 to 1946. Deeg was in the Welterweight Division. Bert Bethel donated newspaper clippings pertaining to Deeg's boxing career and a scrapbook created by Deeg on World War II news clippings.
