Abstract

Esther Bonilla Read is a writer and former educator in public and private schools. In 2022, she received the Lifetime Achievement award presented to her by the YWCA of Corpus Christi. The collection includes 73 typed transcripts and 40 mini-cassette tapes based on interviews from Mexican Americans and others during 2002-2004.

Records of the Corpus Christi chapter of the Mexican American Democrats. The materials deal with Mr. Mejia's participation in the Mexican American Democrats (M.A.D.) of Texas, these materials illustrate the development of that important Hispanic political group. They include documents such as programs, photographs, newsletters, political ephemera, membership rosters, and other items that show the many activities and nature of M.A.D. over the years.

Gutzon Borglum Texas Papers

Gutzon Borglum was a world-renowned artist and sculptor, most famous for his creation of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
