Russell P. Mozeney Papers
Russell Phillip Mozeney was the chief weatherman at the Corpus Christi National Weather Service office in the mid 1900s. Manuscrips and publications concerning hurricanes, forecasts, tornadoes and storms in the South Texas region are included in this collection. A portion of the documents include the North Beach Study of Corpus Christi.

Biographical / Historical
Russell Philip Mozeney was the son of Philip Sheridan Mozeney and Mary Winifred Basom Mozeney. He married Mary Louise Green Mozeney, 2nd daughter and 3rd child of William Hosea Green and Emma Olive Bryant Green, on May 17, 1933 in a garden wedding in the back yard of her home at the U. S. Weather Bureau in Abilene, TX, Taylor Co. After they married, Russell worked as a weatherman in Jackson, MS, Charleton, SC, St. Louis, MO and then to Corpus Christi, TX. Mary taught school in the Corpus Christi school system. They had 1 daughter.
