The collection includes approximately 275,000 negatives and prints taken by Mr. Sammy Gold over his half century of work as a professional photographer in Corpus Christi. The initial part of this acquisition is the commercial subject negatives. Mrs. Gold subsequently donated the Weddings and Portraits negatives. She contacted people regarding their portraits and weddings before she transferred these two sections. The Gold Photography Collection is a definitive visual record of Corpus Christi during the last half of the twentieth century.
