Sub-Series C: Subject Files, 1935 - 1993

This sub-series documents the wide variety of individual topics that were of interest to Dr. Hector P. Garcia over the course of his professional and activism work. Prominent subjects included in this sub-series are individual civil rights bills, census data reports, education, local history and current events, employment, various elections and presidential administrations, housing, hunger and nutrition, immigration, health and medicine, poverty, the Spanish language, and general subjects in American and Texas history. Individual files primarily contain published material about a subject, including reports, pamphlets, data, and newspaper clippings.
