Content Description Bert Bethel's stepfather was the boxer, Billy Deeg whose career in boxing dated from 1935 to 1946. Deeg was in the Welterweight Division. Bert Bethel donated newspaper clippings pertaining to Deeg's boxing career and a scrapbook created by Deeg on World War II news clippings.

Content Description Bill Sayger created a volume of photographs of points of interests in San Patricio and the Round Lake area where early Irish settlers homesteaded, titled "A San Patricio Remembrance." Photographs of headstones taken in the "old cemetery on the hill," and the "new cemetery" at San Patricio accompanies census records for all of San Patricio County for the Years 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1900.

Bob Prager Selena Photographs

Overview Following the death of Tejano musical entertainer Selena Quintanilla-Perez on March 31, 1995, several local artists commemorated her life and career by painting her likeness in murals on the walls of Corpus Christi businesses. Five of these important expressions of popular art were documented for Special Collections and Archives by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi photography student Bob Prager in 2001.
