This collection consists of a partial 1967 letter from a mother to her son while he was a student at the University of Corpus Christi and three unrelated black and white photographs. A 1940 photograph is of a woman sitting on the beach in a bathing suit. A 1930s-1940s era photograph is of a woman holding a puppy. A 1909 photograph is of a band playing. These items were found together in April 2018 in a filing cabinet in the Center for the Arts building at Texas A&M University-Corpus...

Scope and Contents
The William H. Parker collection consists of of several hundred color slides as well as black and white negatives taken by Mr. Parker that cover a range of local topics including construction of the Harbor Bridge, the Bascule Bridge, the Port of Corpus Christi, Padre Island, the shipping and oil industries, the Wesley Seale Dam, the Corpus Christi Bayfront and Marina, North Beach, downtown Corpus Christi and its development, and related subjects.
