Abstract

Sgt. John O. Bowman's collection of Army Infantry photographs of the 74th and 7th New York Infantry Regiments were taken primarily in 1917 in South Texas.

Biographical / Historical

Sgt. John O. Bowman served in the 27th Infantry Regiment in South Texas along the Texas Mexico Border and in Europe during World War I.

John O. Bowman 27th Infantry Division, U.S. National Guard WWI Collection was donated to TAMU-CC Special Collections and Archives by Michael A. Eyre on October 24, 2018. He purchased the photograph album at a Pittsburg flea market.
