Scrapbook of events and documents from 1977 to 1978 for the Federally Employed Women Inc. Corpus Christi Chapter.

Biographical / Historical

Records from the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Federally Employed Women Inc. organization which is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1968 shortly after government issued Executive Order 11375 which added sex-discrimination to the list of prohibited discrimination within the Federal Government. The local chapter was founded in 1977. The purpose of FEW is to increase opportunities for women in government service.

Currently the collection consists of one item, the scrapbook.

The Federally Employed Women Inc. Corpus Christi Chapter Scrapbook was donated by Edna Dunger on July 3, 2018. She had moved out of Corpus Christi in 1985 and found the scrapbook in a box of personal files.
