Series VI: Latino Activism, 1941 - 1996
The spectrum of issues covered in this series is representative of the many areas of Latino advocacy in which Dr. Garcia was immersed on the local, regional and national levels. Cases out of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Garcia’s place of residence, are most heavily represented throughout the series, followed by cases out of Texas and throughout the Southwest region of the United States. A number of the topics in these sub-series are also covered in Series II: Correspondence, Series V: American GI Forum (AGIF), and Series VII: Civilian Service.
