Scope and Contents This collection contains oral histories recorded by students in HIST 3345-America by Nature taught by Dr. Jennifer Brown during fall semester 2017. The students interviewed people in the Corpus Christi area affected by Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall along the Gulf Coast at Rockport in August 2017. Transcriptions are also available.

Joshua talks about his preparations for Hurricane Harvey including the process of debating whether to ride out the storm or to evacuate. He also talks about his experiences riding out the storm and whether or not he would do it again.
