This collection contains oral histories recorded by students in HIST 3345-America by Nature taught by Dr. Jennifer Brown during fall semester 2017. The students interviewed people in the Corpus Christi area affected by Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall along the Gulf Coast at Rockport in August 2017. Transcriptions are also available.

Soundrecording and transcript of 32 minute 38 second oral history interview of Charles DeHart conducted by TAMU-CC student Malcolm Kunicek. Charles talks about preparing for Hurricane Harvey, why he decided to ride out the storm and his experiences doing so, and the experiences of his neighbors and pets. He also discusses the damage to his house and surrounding area including Aransas Pass, Texas and the toll the storm took on him psychologically.
