This collection contains oral histories recorded by students in HIST 5370: Oral History-Techniques and Practices taught by Dr. Laura Muñoz during fall semester 2017. The students interviewed people in the Corpus Christi area affected by Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall along the Gulf Coast at Rockport in August 2017. Transcriptions are also available.

Representative Hunter talks about how he prepared for Hurricane Harvey and his experiences riding out the storm in Corpus Christi. Additionally, he talks about his volunteer work in the area after the storm.
