Asa M. French Surveying Field Books
Asa Milton French was a Corpus Christi area surveyor and engineer that surveyed much of Nueces County, Texas. He also commissioned the building of one of the most historic homes in Corpus Christi, the French-Galvan House. This collection consists of six of his field books that are packed with notes, figures, and drawings from surveying the area.

Over fifty linear feet of documents including newspapers, postcards, and memorabilia. General topics include Texas and South Texas, Mexican Americans, Mexico, ranching, county and city growth. The Kilgore Collection contains rare publications on Corpus Christi and the local area.
Dodson Family Papers
This collection explores the life of Ruth Dodson and her families ties with the earliest days of Texas Independence. It contains over forty short stories she wrote relating to her life growing up in sparsely populated South Texas in the late 1800’s and the people that she met along the way.
