Overview The Dr. Carl Wrotenbery Papers is a small collection of historic documents that centers around the destruction of the University of Corpus Christi by Hurricane Celia in 1970. Included in this collection are over 200 photographic slides, dozens of newspaper articles, and other assorted ephemera. Scope and Contents The Kay McCracken papers consist of approximately 25 linear feet of materials including scrapbooks, diaries and notes on local bird sightings, correspondence, newsletters, and publications of many varieties such as her newspaper columns. Altogether, they comprise a wealth of information on local ornithology.
