Abstract

Arturo Vasquez served as a financial advisor to Hector P. Garcia’s American G.I. Forum chapter. His collection includes information about his personal, military, and professional life as a CPA. Hispanic-American civil rights during the middle 20th century features heavily in this collection.

Abstract

Gabe Lozano was a business man and politician that spent his life working to improve Corpus Christi. He was active in a large spectrum of activities in the area and was the first Hispanic American Mayor of Corpus Christi. Son of pioneering local legend Vincente Lozano, Gabe was a pioneer himself; persistently pushing for causes he felt strongly about and helping transform Corpus Christi into the city it is today.
